Recent advances in wool dyeing

Wool dyeing technology has made raid progress in recent years, spurred by the need for higher quality, quick response and greater environment care. Technological breakthroughs in other branches of science have also been applied to wool. Advances are summarized thus: dyeing with acid dyes; dyeing with metal complex dyes; dyeing with chrome dyes; dyeing with natural dyes; and damage control during dyeing. Other processes-electromagnetic and plasma treatments, ultrasonics etc. are briefly considered.
