Dynamic quality control (DQC) increases evenness, color-fastness, and reproducibility in dyeing. The DQC system replaces the parameter of time with the parameter of contact where contact is defined as a function of machine geometry, machine hydraulics, liquor and fabric movement, and liquor and fabric quantity. The DQC system features continuous data acquisition that adjusts and optimizes treatment times and gradients, as well as such machine parameters as specific flow, fabric speed, differential pressure, and dosing. Control of the absorption of dye by the fiber in each contact eliminates depletion of the liquor.
