Soft flow batch dyeing machines minimize distortion during the dyeing of knit fabrics. Automatic control of liquor ratio, temperature, gradient, dosing curve, and process parameters improve dyeing, exhaustion, and fixation evenness. Frequency controlled motors for the lifter reel increase fabric speed, which improved evenness. Synchronization of fabric speed with winch speed and liquor flow ensures low fabric tension, minimal slippage, and gentle fabric transport. Control of material flow, loading, unloading, water consumption, steam supply, steam pressure, and rinsing cycles reduces cycle times. Scholl’s Flex chamber adjustment mechanism permits dyeing machines to accommodate a variety of lot sizes, fabric types, and fabric weights. Scholl’s pulsating rinsing machines and Rapid Cool Rinse eliminate drop and fill sequences and provide continuous processing, which reduces water consumption and processing time.
