A study was made of the influence of the direction of traction, stitch density and the FAST parameters of the fabric on the resistance and slippage of seams. The study was carried out using 40 fabrics in wool or blends containing wool. It was concluded that the structural and FAST parameters of the fabrics have a significant influence in their linear and/or quadratic components on the parameters that define the resistance and slippage of seams. The parameters examined also variously affect the efficiency of the seams and the modulus to 1mm.
