The use of Actigard anti-dust mite treatment developed by Sanitized Ag and marketed by Clariant is described. The treatment applied to every component of an article e.g. a mattress, ensures that the dust mite population and the allergens they produce are kept at an inoffensive level. Even one protected item among other unprotected ones can be decisive in preventing the occurrence of an allergic reaction. Actigard protection lasts throughout the life of the finished product and does not require any further action in order to be effective. Actigard also protects against bacteria and mould.
