Rohm Tech's comprehensive family of polymer binders and emulsions facilitates the maximum control over nonwoven fabric properties. Rohatol polymers are regarded as being highly versatile and offering high performance during demanding applications. Rohm's acrylic binders confer fabric hands from very soft to very firm. They can also impart excellent resistance to ultraviolet degradation, heat discoloration, and drycleaning, and good wet tensile strength. Rohatol polymers are used extensively in medical and household nonwovens applications, waddings for apparel, air and dust filters, liquid filters, and insulating materials. They are also used in glass/fiber webs for bitumen roofing materials, polyvinyl choride applications, and under conditions that require strong resistance to chemicals and extreme temperatures.
