Lankor Limited has introduced Lantoride, a multilaminate carbon impregnated composite that can absorb high levels of radiation at varying angles of incidence. The nonwoven radar absorbent material, which comprises a blend of fibers with a high wool content within a styrene binding matrix, absorbs more than 93 percent of radiation within a frequency range of between 5 and 40 gigahertz. lantoride, which is moldable and may be impregnated with additional resins for structural strength, features broadband attenuation, soundproofing, insulation, and fire retardance properties.
