Fabric Assurance by Simple Testing (FAST) is a significant development in objective fabric evaluation. FAST gives a fingerprint chart of tested fabrics. The fingerprint can be used for quality assurance, quality control, and product development. Recently, an examination of spun bonded/melt blown/spun bonded disposable medical protective clothing resulted in the need to improve the FAST control chart. An Instron device tested the machine and cross directions of the fabrics, which weighed 35-75 grams per square meter.
