Textile wastes provide a potentially lucrative source of raw materials for nonwoven fabric manufacturers. Recycled materials from fabric mills, substandard products, and used fabrics are suitable for reclamation, web forming, and bonding. The reclamation processes include fiber cutting, shredding, and blending. Both dry and wet laying are appropriate web formation methods. Commonly used bonding methods include needling, heat setting, thermal bonding, foam impregnation, and drying and curing. Fleissner offers a waste fiber to nonwoven fabric recycling line that produces materials suitable for a variety of applications.
