A continuous system for producing clean, bleached and blended fibres comprises: a bale opener, a primary cleaning and web forming stating for producing a batt; separating means for separating the batt into several batts; two comber means; a continuous flow bleaching means; a first drying machine; a slitter for slitting two web formed by the comber means into slivers; additional blending means including carding machines, for producing carded webs; a conveyor means for receiving the carded webs in a stacked condition and delivering them to a stabilizing means which produces a stable web of bleached and entangled fibres; a second drying machine; and a roll forming means.
