A nonwoven fabric comprises a first web of extruded multicomponent polymeric strands including first and second polymeric components. The two components are arranged in distinct zones across the cross-section of the strand and extend continuously along the length of the strand. The second component constitutes at least a portion of the peripheral surface of the multicomponent strand and comprises a first blend of polyolefin and thermoplastic elastomeric polymer. A second web is bonded to the first web, and comprises single-component polymeric strands comprising a second blend of a polyolefin and a thermoplastic elastomeric polymer. IPC B32B.
