The company has formally registered Courtaulds Lyocell as the brand name for its lyocell fibre product, and intends to actively promote and protect the registered logo in a new communications programme. Courtaulds Lyocell is claimed to have a number of unique properties that are attractive in a number of applications. For example, nonwoven fabrics are said to be much stronger, especially when wet, more stable, and have better wet-resilience that viscose-based fibres. Suitable applications are within the medical, wipes, disposable apparel, and semi-durable textiles markets.
