Fiber properties play a key role in determining the performance properties of nonwoven fabrics. The high liquid absorption and retention capacity of viscose fibers render them especially suitable for nonwoven wipes in residential, industrial, and medical apllications. Viscose fibers used in surgical wipes are bleached without chlorine and hydroentangled with water jets without chemical agents. The more recent use of mass dyed viscose procides better colorfastness and a wider range of pastel shades.
