Asselin's Octoweb system achieves high web uniformity

French machine builder, Asselin, has installed on Octoweb system for needlepunched nonwovens at its Elbeuf research centre. Octoweb can achieve high levels of uniformity in needlepunched nonwovens. The system physically reorganizes the fibres in the needling section to produce optimum uniformity both widthways and longitudinally. Fibre economy, uniform multi-directional deformability, reduction of waste and reduction of draft in the needling are claimed as benefits of the Ocotweb process.
