The Concord wet treatment machine for woven or knitted fabrics in rope form produced by the Italian firm Mezzera is described. It is designed for the preparation of fabrics in artificial and synthetic fibres, the neutralization of fabrics after mercerization, relaxation treatment, processing of Lycra fabrics and washing after bleaching, padbatch, printing and dyeing. The Concord consists of 8 to 14 compartments with washing and wringing of the fabric on passage from one compartment to another. It can operate at a maximum temperature of 98℃ with a maximum velocity of 100 m/min. The main features of the machine are low water and energy consumption, passage of the fabric without tension, intense interchange between batch and fabric, microprocessor for programming operative parameters, and electronic dosage system.
