Filtration has been a healthy growth despite economic ups and downs, prices have been affected but rarely ever quantities. This article discusses the width of the filtration market but specifically the role of nonwovens. The applications to this small market are still very broad form air bags, air purifiers and conditioners to medical applications such as blood products and open heart surgery filters. The future too is bright and new filter applications seem to surface all the time - even over 100 yr after the first dust baghouse system was invented.
