findings on the thermomechanical bonding of fibres in heat bonding are of scientific and practical interest. A bonding rig is described which makes it possible to create bonding points at intersecting fibres and bonding surfaces at model webs as a function of temperature, deformation and contact time. This represents a rapid test method for investigating the bonding as a function of pressure (calendering) or without pressure (thermal fusion). This is a summary of research reprot AIF No. 9412B).
