IDEA 98 -- Big Nonwovens Show Aims to Break Records.

Three hundred exhibitors are expected at IDEA 1998. Attendance is predicted to reach 7,000. Twenty-five countries and over 100 new companies will be represented. Robert Rufli will give the keynote address titled How Will the future of Our Industry Look if All the Forecasts Come True? Topics to be discussed include the effect of the merger and acquisition boom on the industry; the impact of Asian Pacific regional growth on markets in Europe and the United States; and defining the risks of globalization. Over 60 other presentations will be given by leaders from 13 nonwoven fabrics end use industries, including apparel, construction, electronics, filtration, geotextiles, health care, home furnishings, hygiene, landscaping, sorbents, transportation, and wipes.
