Increased airlaid in Europe

Following the installation of two new lines in Europe, global airlaid pulp based nonwovens production has increased from an estimated 210 000 to 230 000 tonnes a year. This is due to Canadian based company Concert Industries installing a line in Germany and Ireland. These were both installed in order to ensure better service to its European customer base. Since the early 1990's roll-good-based airlaid products have found increased usage as absorbent cores in napples and feminine hygiene products and demand is still growing in this area.
