Courtaulds' Hydrolace hydroentanglement systems manufacture a wide variety of nonwoven fabrics and products suitable for durable, semidurable, and specialty applications. hydroentanglement uses high pressure water jets to position and bind fibers into a fabric. The Hydrolace system uses high energy jets with a minimum number of injectors that have an improved orifice design to increase the stability of the water jet and the efficiency of the energy transfer to the fabric. Courtaulds' Hydrolace 350 system manufactures fabrics ranging in weight from 30-400 grams per square meter. Its Hydrolace 352 system manufactures light to medium weight fabrics in the range of 30-120 grams per square meter. The Hydrolace system processes manmade, regenerated, and natural fibers, including lyocell, Kevlar, and Nomex.
