An overview of nonwoven fabric manufacturing machinery shown at ITMA 1999, in Paris, addresses current applications, new developments, and future trends. Fleissner and ICBT International showed their Aquajet and Jetlace spunlacing machines, respectively. Dr.Ernst Fehrer AG, Shoou Shyng Machinery Company Limited, Asselin of N. Sclumberger & Cie, Dilo Systems Group, and Groz-Beckert showed needle punching machines for a range of widths. Other highlighted manufacturers included Trutzschler GmbH, Autefa GmbH, Santex AG, Erwin Kock GmbH, Kusters, Laroche SA, Caitec AG, Kleinwefers, Inventa-Fischer AG, Karl Mayer GmbH, and Erhardt + Leimer GmbH. Most of the new machinery featured greater automation and integration in existing manufacturing lines.
