Woven and nonwoven filter fabrics eliminate air pollutants by removing foreign particles from gases or liquids. Some of the worst pollution sources in India are coal-fired power stations, fertilizer factories, and auto emissions. To effectively clean India's air, researchers must investigate the nature, size, and distribution of the pollutants and choose an appropriate removal procedure or material.
