The addition of polyester to fiberglass fabrics will increase the fabric's toughness, strength retention after folding, tensile strength at high strain rates, and tear strength. The addition of polyester also reduced tensile strength at low strain rates. The effects of varying polyester dtex, cut length, and blend level using several binder systems are presented.
