A sensitive, rapid, cost-effective method of quantitatively analyzing a large number of different nonwoven fiber samples for approximately twenty trace elements is described. This method is called inductively coupled argon plasma spectrophotometry. It is sensitive and precise at the low parts per million range, has a wide dynamic range, and has the ability to analyze a large number of elements virtually simultaneously. 2 refs.
