Fleissner has developed a through-air drum that supplies an adequate line of heat for drying air permeable papers. The dryer has been built for maximum evenness of running, high vacuums, and production speeds of up to 2200 meters per minute. The machine is available in standard diameters of 1500, 1880, 2450, 3000, 3650, 4200, 4800, and 5400 millimeters. Drums with larger diameters can be custom manufactured. The dryer can be used for wet laid webs, tea bag paper, filtering papers, tissues, hygienic and sanitary webs, liquid filters, spun bonded webs, glass fiber webs, and water entangled spunlaced nonwovens.
