The Topliner series of web laying machines produced by the German firm AUTEFA Maschinenfabrik GmbH is presented. The Topliner is available in two different versions: the CL 4000 for laying speeds of up to 120 m/min and the CL 4004 for laying speeds of 150 m/min. Working widths are 200-300 cm and laying widths are 250-700 cm in 50 cm steps. The advantages of this modern laying technology are high mat passage speeds, precise mat deposit over the whole width, and profile control to influence weight distribution.
