A method of producing a fine-denier barrier fabric is specified. It comprises using either melt blowing or spunbonding or a combination of the two. This is followed by crimping, spotbonding using differential band roll temperatures, and neck-stretching. The temperature differential is about 10-50℉. The fabric has improved strength, conformability and reduced stiffness. IPC D04H.
