More spunbonding machinery builders reflect widening interest

The versatility of and growing interest in spunbonding technology was reflected at ITMA '99 by the number of exhibitors offering machinery designed for the sector. Lurgi Zimmer AG of Germany presented their latest lines, as did Hills Inc, Fleissner and ICBT-Perfojet. The latter described its new modular SPUN jet system, suitable for both PP and PET constructions. Two Italian firms, MecMod and Fare, introduced multiple spinning beams and three new systems for producing fibres and filaments, respectively.
