Innovations presented in the nonwoven sector at the recent Itma are summarized. The constructors had aimed for qualitative improvements, increased flexibility, production speed and ease of maintenance. Equipment highlighted included the ProDyn system by Asselin for producing smooth webs, the Interspun water-jet nonwoven machine by Fleissner, an off-set transport brush construction by the ICTB group, Cross STAR needles by GrozBeckert, the Dilo Beltex paper-machine trasport felt installation, and the Twin-Scattering Unit by Schott and Meissner.
