The China International Nonwovens and Techtextils Exhibition and Conference was held in Beijing in May and focused on long-life nonwovens and industrial textiles. Pagers examined: Chinese output and markets; new Japanese fibres for technical textiles; future possibilities for lyocell; Tandec's facilities and programmes; the use of Tyvek for roofing; geotextiles; Perfojet spunbond-meltblown lines; test methods; carbon fibre surface reinforcement of concrete; and ultra high strength ropes and nettings for fishing gear.
