The People's Republic of China will install six new spun bonded fabric manufacturing plants during the first six months of 2001. Dalian Ruiguand Nonwoven Fabric Company brought its facility online early in 2001. The other five plants will be imported from foreign companies, including S.T.P. of Italy, and will have a combined annual production capacity of 18,000 tons. These five plants will be installed by the Shenzhen Guoqiao Company, Jilin Baichen Hemp Mill, Jinjiang Xintai Nonwoven Company, Xianhe Huaxin Nonwoven Fabric Company, and Dongying Junfu Group.
