Unifi sold a new plant three months after commissioning it. leading markets for spun bonded and melt blown fabrics are hygiene cover stock, medical fabrics, geotextiles, carpet underlays, and filter fabrics. Recent machinery developments have contributed to overcapacity. Spun bonded/melt blown/spun bonded fabrics offer new market opportunities. This technology yields fabrics manufactured to technical specifications unobtainable with conventional nonwoven fabric manufacturing methods.
