ProDyn: Setting the Standard in Nonwovens

NSC Schlumberger's ProDyn control system improves the machine direction and cross direction uniformity of nonwoven fabrics manufactured on dynamic carding and crosslapping machines. The system, which is based on Asselin's Profile short path crosslapping machine, continuously adjusts the carding and crosslapping machines to create a fiber batt with minimal side-center-side irregularity after bonding. The system optimizes nonwoven fabric quality regardless of fiber type, fiber denier, bonding method, or crimp level. It operates at fabric delivery speeds of up to 150 meters per minute in laydown widths of greater than 3 meters.
