Rieter Perfojet's Perfobond spunbonding machine, designed for polypropylene resin, manufactures a variety of products with different properties without equipment modification at speeds of up to 300 kilograms per hour per meter per beam. Each stage of the Perfobond process can be adjusted to correct problems, manufacture fibers or fabrics with different properties, or optimize performance for different resins. The quenching system features three cooling zones that can be adjusted to modify fiber structure. Adjustable stretching changes fiber diameter without varying the throughput. The flexibility from independently controlled manufacturing stages facilitates monitoring and quality control while reducing the loss of time and raw materials during production changes. The transition from one color to another requires 10-15 minutes.
