The Comfortemp nonwoven products manufactured by Frisby Technologies Inc., Winston-Salem, NC, have been nominated for consideration for the 2002 visionary Awards presented by INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry. The awards are for the best new consumer products utilizing nonwoven fabrics or related technology. Other nominees are Procter and Gamble, Kimberly-Clark, Johnson and Johnson and Playtex Products. Comfortemp nonwovens have been developed jointly by Frisby and Freudenberg Vliesstoffe KG, Weinheim, Germany. Applications include insulation or clothing liners, footwear, bedding and home furnishings. All materials contain Frisby’s proprietary thermal additive which is a powder-like substance automatically absorbing, storing and releasing heat as needed to maintain a balanced temperature. Comfortemp items can be found in over 1,000 products from over 120 leading world brands.
