U. Engineering Company Limited of Japan’s Caroliner fabric guiding and wrinkle removing device for woven and nonwoven fabrics, films, paper, and glass fabrics eliminates web expansion without damaging the fiber web. Rubber cords around the periphery of the wrinkle removing roll stretch and contract as the roll rotates to provide uniform web expansion across the width of the roll. Swinging arms shift the roll in the crosswise direction and adjust the steering angle of the roll to provide accurate guiding for misaligned webs. The Miravo Roll high speed wrinkle removing rolls operate at speeds of up to 1,000 meters per minute.
