The primary applications for nonwovens in China are feminine hygiene, baby care and adult incontinence products. A number of textile fibers can be used for disposable nonwovens applications - polypropylene, rayon and bicomponent fibers. Various types of nonwovens are produced in China - thermal bonded, air through bonded, air laid, spunlaced and spunbonded. Product standards are briefly reviewed.
