A process for producing garments or garment parts comprises: producing cuts from a top fabric; mechanically marking the cuts which will not be receiving coated lining cuts; attaching coated lining parts to the remaining unmarked top fabric cuts; and mechanically marking the top fabric cuts combined with the coated lining cuts either before, during or after attachment of the coated lining cuts.
