MIDA - A System for Made-To-Measure Garments.

The MIDA is a computer system is capable of maintaining a large database of measurements that characterize a population. The system can be used in the production of apparel, relation the morphological characteristics of the human body to garment design with the aim of achieving satisfactory fit. MIDA can be used by manufacturers that produce a large quantity of apparel or by specialists that produce made-tp-measure apparel. The system comprises a MIDAS Base server that manages the morphological database; MIDAScan 3D, a metrology system that provides a three dimensional representation of the subject and a set of predefined measures.
