Ascolit Schaerer AG offers the Mark III 1992 and Mark V 1993 button shank whipping machines. The whipped button shanks are held tightly, but remain flexible on the button hole. The size of the shank is adjustable to accommodate small or large buttons. The machines can be used on all types of fabrics, including acetate, fur, and silk. The whipping capacity is up to 15 buttons per minute. Ascolite-Elasto thread, a synthetic dyed yarns for button shank whipping machines, comes in 14 colors. The thread is semitranslucent and adapts well to the color of the button sewing thread.
