Cinematic control is a computerized method for monitioring the amount of sewing thread on the bobbin and for controlling the operation of a bobbin thread guard. Optical sensors check the turing speed of the main shaft and of the bobbin. Such parameters as stitch length, material thickness, and spool geometry allow calculation of bobbin fullness. The contro system notifies the operator when the amount of thread on the bobbin is reduced to a predetermined amount, when the bobbin is impty, or when the thread breaks.
