Though business has been silightly flat over the last few years, denim apparel manufacturers exhibiting their products at Inter-Jeans are convinced that denim will continue to be an improtant fashion commodity. Design innovations for denim apparel in recent years have been focused on fabric, wash, and fit rather than style. Lee has launched a new line called Heritage, which feature pants made from open end, ring spun denim. Marlboro Classics, Wrangler, and Americal Weaternwear International are leading a movement toward traditional frontier designs, that feature leaner, tighter fits. Layered looks and corduroy remained improtant designs at the show. Denim apparel from Joe Bloggs, Lee Cooper, Hardcore, Falmers Champion, Oxbow, Fire and Ice, Hot Tuna, and Go Live are discussed.
