Proper maintenance of drycleaning machines is necessary to avoid unacceptably high consumption of solvents. A program of regular maintenance includes tasks performed after each load (checking main pump, button trap, and solvent distillation), tasks performed daily (change and clean dust bags, check the seal at rear of bearing, check solvent level and water flow, clean the machine and panels), tasks performed weekly (chec main bearings, check solvent levels and record, clean still thoroughly, clean water separator, and check all valves and union joints), and tasks performed monthly (remove and clean soap hopper, lubricate moving joints/motors/damper mechanisms, and refill grease caps).
