A basic trouser patterns uses the proportionate center line system developed by the late Colin Stovell, a senior lecturer at the London College of Fashion. The method, which is related to a size chart, provides patterns suitable for mass production of trousers. The system increases the user's ability ot draft, cut, nd grade patterns for any style. The illustrated pattern block instructions include descriptions of the basic pattern draft, a list of garment parts, drafting instuction, notes on fly positioning, and instructions for contructing the seat angle.
