This article studies the influence of fibre hygroscopicity on the dynamic comfort performance of clothing. Wool fabrics are tested against polyester fabrics and acrylic fabrics for properties including coolness to touch, dampness perception moisture buffering, enhanced body heat loss and rain buffering.
