This article reports on a moisture barrier product developed by Aldan Rubber Co of USA which can be used to give additional biological and water protection to protective apparel based on Du Pont's Nomex aramid fibre and various other fibres. The porous polyurethane film, Breathe-Tex, provides channels for dissipation of water vapour molecules, whilst constituting a barrier a gainst water and deadly viruses.
