Ultrasonic seaming equipment uses high frequency vibrations to heat fabric seams, which causes them to melt and fuse. The materials most amenable to ultrasonic seaming are 100 percent manmade fibers or blends with up to a 40 percent natural fiber content. Nonwoven, woven, stretch woven, or knit fabrics made with thermoplastic fabrics are ideal.
