JIAM '96 is Held in Osaka 4 Days from May 15.

The Japan Sewing Machinery Manufacturers Association (JASMA) and the Osaka International Trade Fair Commission announced that the next JIAM (Japan International Apparel Machinery Trade Show), will be held in Osaka from May 15 to 18, 1996. Over 300 different companies rented more than 2,500 booths at JIAM 1993, and the triennial exhibition--together with the IMB and the Bobbin Show--is now one of the three largest apparel machinery shows in the world. According to Takeo Yamaoka, chairman of JASMA, and Daido Mima, chairman of JIAM 1996, the exhibition will probably focus on recent developments in sewing machine design to accommodate the more stringent requiremtns of durable press apparel fabrics and postconversion form stabilizing finishing treatments.
