Union Special Class SP 100 sewing machines feature a very small cylinder compatibility with almost any thread, high operating speeds, and a large sewing capacity. The small cylinder makes the machines ideal for small circular operations, such as those used in manufacturing infants' and children's apparel. The 7 millimeter sewing capacity allows the Class SP 100 to process a wide variety of fabrics, including heavy weight fleece. They can operate at speeds of up to 8,500 stitches per minute. Routine maintenance should be performed on the machines at least twice yearly, or every 2,000 operating hours. Instructions for an eleven step routine maintenance process are provided. The instructions are accompanied by photographs that illustrate the procedure.
