A high-density woven fabric is produced by arranging, as warps and wefts, identical or different continuous filament yarns, stleast 40％ by wight of which are formed offilaments having a denier of 1.1 or less and which have a total denier or less and which have a total denier of 120 or less, where the cross-sectional overlaying coefficients of the warps and wefts constituting the fabric satisfy specified conditions. The fabrics are used in outerwear and/or protective garments. IPC D03D A41D.
